Lessons & Carols – December 24th at 4:00 pm
Lessons and carols is a beautiful traditional service that began after WWI in England. The nine Scripture lessons paired with nine beautiful carols tell the story of God’s love of the world, beginning with the Word before Creation and resulting in the birth of Jesus, the Word Incarnate. The version held at King’s College, Cambridge, is broadcast around the world every Christmas Eve. Everyone is invited to participate in the Walpole version at St. John’s Church.
